Without Stan Lee, Marvel Comics would not be what they are today. The miracle baby was born, created a series of iconic, long-life characters and stories, and changed the Comics face forever.
It does not matter whether you are a Marvel Comics fan, a DC Comics fan, an independent comic book fan or whatever, you have to Stan "The Man" Lee is respect for his contributions to comics. Without standards, we would not have the likes of Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four and the Incredible Hulk. It was his creative genius, the creative genius of Jack Kirby meshed, Steve Ditko and others, of course, that new life breathed into Marvel comics and comics in general.
If one of the most prolific comic writers think they think of a handful of names in comparison to the masses. The modern period, it is Brian Michael Bendis, Geoff Johns, Neil Gaiman, Alan Moore, Jeph Loeb, Grant Morrison and a few other choice. In the Golden and Silver Ages of comics, there were many big names who did great things. Bob Kane, Bill Finger, Jerry Siegel, Joe Shuster, Jack Kirby, and of course, Stan Lee.
Stan Lee's name is synonymous with size, as is the imagination, creativity and passion for the World of comic books is concerned. Stan Lee, Marvel Comics' great beacon of hope that the company and the industry would start a new phase, the introduction the family aspect of the superhero books. The Marvel that has standard would define the direction of the Marvel comics long after Lee, the company has prominent role in each.
Think of the incredible characters that are derived from the mind of this man. Iron Man, X-Men, Thor, Daredevil and Dr. Strange. These are characters everyone knows and loves. Check out this list of Stan Lee's creations and reflect on what has gone on to success in other media and had very successful runs in comics. Each one of them almost. Admittedly, a lot of that success is based on the efforts and contributions of the authors and artists who developed the characters over the years. But Stan Lee's fingerprint is on each and every one of them and will always be seen and felt.
Can a single creator in comics, so much contributed in terms of longevity, creativity and uniqueness? You can not because there are none. There are many writers who have made great contributions and written or drawn characters and amazing stories. But no one can say they changed the face of the industry just like Stan Lee can.
No matter what this Day is done, no matter what country superstar creators at the Big Two. Stan Lee, Marvel Comics own living legend, is head and shoulders above the rest
