Mayor C. Ray Nagin of New Orleans against the advice of FEMA has begun to repopulate the city of New Orleans again. The latest reports on Hurricane Rita has put an end to re-assignment order, but Mayor Nagin has promised that the city once Rita's threat to re-populate.
The big question is Mayor Nagin Guilty of early re-population
Mayor Nagin, you need to think with your head and not your political ambitions. While many residents of New Orleans, that return to their homes. While a rapid repopulation of New Orleans could be the politically correct way to take it really looking for the long term health and well-being of the people of New Orleans.
It Dirty water in many parts of the city still faces many sever Health Dangers. The people who are fortunate enough to have running water yet can not drink it. There are no schools, hospitals, grocery stores and banks. The police and fire department personnel depleted do to desertions in the early part of the Hurricane Katrina disaster.
If all this is not enough to wait for the Army Corps of Engineers has already stated that was not only the previously defective parts, subject to further flooding of the dikes, but also other parts of the 350 mile levee system may be damaged and to have. The Army Corps of Engineers feared that to do the weakened condition of the dikes in a heavy storm could be widespread Flooding.
Mayor Nagin who has ever sipped a coffee at Cafe Du Monde or eaten gumbo, that in one of the fine restaurants in New Orleans wants nothing more to see, then build your city bigger and better than ever. Mayor Nagin is not it better, go ahead slowly and err on the side of caution then risk another disaster by repopulating too fast.
